Hey there.. Em here!

I am a Mandurah-based artist of New Zealand-Maori descent. I moved here to Oz with my FIFO husband and three babies a few years back - and we love it here! Thanks for having us Perth! 

Inspired by the visual and emotive, I have a tendency to create and involve Maori pattern/Kowhaiwhai (traditional and self-created), and other similar imagery into my Art. 

I create paintings and boards in my home studio, often with my little ones in tow, sometimes under the tree or in the sun in my garden. This is where I'm most comfortable in my work, and I draw on this space, my learnings from my Bachelor of Maori Visual Arts Degree, my heritage and family history to nourish its progression.
